
SYDNEY — Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is scheduled to begin days of meetings in China on Saturday, where on the agenda will be potential cooperation on artificial intelligence as Canberra attempts to determine how to best engage with its largest trading partner on the emerging technology.
The Australian leader will spend six days in China, traveling first to Shanghai to meet business, sports, and tourism representatives before meeting with President Xi Jinping in Beijing. He will also hold talks with Premier Li Qiang for the annual leaders’ meeting and Chairman Zhao Leji of the National People’s Congress.
