
TAIPEI — Britain’s first ministerial visit to Taiwan under the current Labour government resulted in three pacts on investment, digital trade and energy, as the two sides moved to deepen economic ties amid uncertainties over China-linked supply chains.
Douglas Alexander, the minister of state for trade policy and economic security, wrapped up a two-day trip to the island on Monday, which included a meeting with Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te.
