SEOUL, June 12 (Yonhap) — President Lee Jae-myung plans to hold a meeting with heads of the nation’s top five business conglomerates Friday, the presidential office said Thursday.
Among the attendees at the planned meeting are Samsung Electronics Co. Chairman Lee Jae-yong, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Chair Euisun Chung, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin, according to the office.
Other attendees include the heads of six major economic organizations, including Sohn Kyung-shik, chairman of the Korea Enterprises Federation, and Yoon Jin-sik, chairman of the Korea International Trade Association.
The meeting is expected to review domestic and global economic conditions, and seek input from the business community on key pending issues ahead of Lee’s attendance to the Group of Seven summit in Canada next week.
